To begin with, I'd like to apologize to readers, for not posting a typical training/organizational related article here tonight. I worked a longer than normal day, and have been fighting a raging headache all day that neither copious amounts of water imbibed, several 1000mg doses of Tylenol, and even a good supper of Chinese food seems to want to cure. I'm guessing my cervical spine is out of alignment and needs to be adjusted, so I may have to simply gut it out until I can make it to the chiropractor in a couple of weeks. C'est la vie.
I did want to take the time to post on a couple of things I've noticed going on, in the world in general, and in the blogosphere (within the Liberty movement blogosphere, specifically). I hope you will allow me the Liberty of doing so (Oh, wait, it's my blog! I can do what I want! Yay me....I hope it won't turn too many readers off).
To begin, let's face reality. There is a strong core of belief outside of the political right, that most of us of the “survivalist/preparedness” culture, at some level, are all racist, and anti-Semitic, specifically. I know ArcticPatriot has been accused of this recently. I don't personally know AP. I've traded emails with him a couple of times, we seem to share some common beliefs. That's it. This is not directed at AP, nor at those who have accused him of anti-Semitism. This is MY personal statement on the subject.
You would be hard-pressed to find a more ardent supporter of the state of Israel than myself. I'm possibly the most pro-Israel, non-Jew I've ever met. I support the continued existance of the state of Israel, unquestionably, and 100%. Not because they are God's Chosen People (I'm entirely too agnostic to buy into that), but because I believe that every culture has the right to a homeland, assuming they can hold it. The Israelis, sent to an undesired chunk of rocky desert, managed to carve a nation out of it, while surrounded on all sides by blood-oath enemies. They have held it since, despite the best efforts of the enemies who surround them on three sides, to shove them into the ocean. Big brass balls and the willingness to fight for what you hold dear means a lot to me. The Islamist nations that surround and hate Israel try and leverage the Palestinian issue, falsely. Israel does not hate Palestinians. Palestinians have not managed to let it sink in that they are being used, by those with ulterior motives, who hold no concern for Palestine, other than as a tool to rid the region of the Israelis.
I am 100% convinced, based on significant amounts of time spent in Muslim cultural centers, and in face-to-face conversations with Muslims of various social classes, that the return of the Caliphate, and its global advancement, is a serious goal of a large percentage of Muslims, including many so-called “moderates.” I know that Muslims throughout the Middle East and elsewhere, despise the Israelis, and want to see them driven into the sea.
I've noted it in this blog before, but I'll reiterate: I abhor Islam. Nevertheless, I recognize, and respect, the natural human right of any person to worship God in whatever manner suits them—as long as that worship does not negatively impact the religious freedoms or other human rights of anyone else. So, in the Middle East, I support Israel. I always have and I always will.
Lest anyone mistake me for an anti-Semite, let me reiterate: I support the national sovereignty and survival of the state of Israel (Hell, I've dated Jewish girls, and was even engaged to one, once upon a time. Pin an anti-Semite tag on THAT one...). I would personally go, without a moment's hesitation, and put on the uniform of the IDF, to help protect Israel from aggressive action, if I thought it necessary to help ensure the nation's survival.
All of that having been said, our rapidly impending, and apparently unavoidable invasion of Iran, and the subsequent counter-insurgency we are going to embroiled in, just like the one we just left in Iraq, is stupid. I genuinely believe it is intended not to secure peace in the Middle East (good luck with that fucking pipe dream!), but to provide ammunition to further tighten the chokehold of the police-state here in the United States, that we are currently beginning to suffer under.
Let's look at historical fact. If the Israelis genuinely believe that Iran poses a clear and present danger to the security of the Jewish state, they are more than capable of pre-emptively ending that threat, with no direct help from the United States government. They've done it before, on more than once occasion.
The current claim is that Iran is less than one year away from the completion of a functional nuclear weapon. That's been the claim for well over half a decade! I put that into the same category as using Hussein's WMDs as an excuse to legitimize the invasion of Iraq (i.e. it's a load of horse-shit).
Now, if the Iranians were massing tactical forces and saying, “We're going to invade Israel and shove the Jews into the ocean?” If one of their other Islamist neighbors decide to actually attack Israel? I would, at that point, support direct American military intervention to help defend the state and people of Israel. I view Israel as the little brother of the United States, on a geo-political scale. If someone attacked my younger brother (my brother is a currently serving SOF service member with numerous multiple tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan; he's probably capable of taking care of himself), I can assure you, I'd go after them, in his support. However, if he got his ass kicked, because he was talking out his ass, libeling someone with no evidence to support his accusations? I'd consider the ass-kicking to be a lesson he had coming. I'd chalk it up as a learning experience for him.

In MY eyes, it is no different than if someone attacked or said they were getting ready to attack, my younger brother (My younger brother is a currently serving SOF service member. He's probably capable of taking care of himself. I'd still go after someone for threatening or attacking him). However, just like if my younger brother picked a fight, for no legitimate reason, and subsequently got his ass kicked, I would chalk it up as a learning experience.
I will not support the invasion of a sovereign nation, simply because the leaders of that country are a bunch of idiots who think it makes them look tough to talk smack to the biggest, baddest bully on the block (The U.S. Not Israel).
As I mentioned, this post is apropos of nothing, but the subject has been on my mind all day, considering the announcement today of the President's Executive Order declaring a National Emergency in regards to the “threat” Iran poses to the United States' economy and “national security.”
I would like to point out however that, regardless of our disagreement in many areas, there are too few of us in this nation who are aware of the games being played on us. We cannot afford to let misconceptions and misperceptions tear us asunder. The only way a resistance can hope to successfully function, is to put aside our differences in the interest of the common cause. If you are an anti-Semite (besides being a dumbass; I've yet to meet an anti-Semite who even knew any Jewish people to base their prejudices on), keep it to yourself. If you are racist against blacks, hispanics, asians, or fucking Martians, KEEP IT TO YOURSELF!!! Do not, A) drive a wedge between yourself and potential allies, or B) provide the statists with any sort of ammunition to help them wage their PSYOPs campaign on the public against us. People are people. Gross generalizations about a group of people (all gun owners have penis envy, and want to go on a rampage killing babies!), is fucking retarded. I have family members whom I adore, who are married to, or descended from all of the above racial and/or ethnic groups. I would fight and kill for them, just like I would for my wife and children.
On the other hand, automatically labeling someone as an undesirable, because you have a suspicion of incorrect thought processes/beliefs on their part, WITHOUT proof and verification, is a tool of the statists. If you have a problem with someone's words, go to them in private and express your concerns. Just fucking quit airing dirty laundry in public. No one, especially the statists who want justification for trying to control us, needs to see your wife's dirty underwear. Keep it private people. OPSEC is OPSEC.
Another concern that arises, is the frequency with which I see the President labeled in the most derogatory manner that someone can come up with. Look, I despise the man's publicly stated beliefs and goals. I despise everything he stands for in the political spectrum. Nevertheless, I still maintain my respect and love for the Constitutional institutions of the Republic. He sits in the office of the President of the United States. Calling him, “Obummer,” “the Kenyan,” or anything else intended to be personally derogatory, is insulting not to him, but to the office he holds. You will never read, anywhere on this blog, him addressed as anything other than “President Obama” or “the President.” Whatever you believe regarding his eligibility for office, he IS in the office. Demonstrating the sort of childish name-calling behavior I continuously see in regards to the President, is NOT going to build rapport with un-aligned members of the civilian population. Labeling him, “The Kenyan” may the dumbest shit I've ever seen, from a PSYOPs PoV. It plays right into the argument of his supporters that those who oppose him are racist. Face the facts: The man's father was a Kenyan national, not the President.
If you watch some of the videos on YouTube of drills taught at different tactical shooting courses, you can come across some weird, acrobatic shit. It's just that—shit. The thing you have to consider (and this is one reason I have no interest in running a “school”) is that these guys want to make a living. They have a limited number of people who are potential students. The best customer for a tactical shooting school is a repeat customer. They HAVE to come up with “new,” novel ways of teaching you to do shit, just to keep you coming back.
99.9% of what you will ever need to know how to do to survive and win a gunfight, can be taught in a weekend. You won't MASTER it in a weekend, but you can LEARN it in a weekend (the shooting part, or the tactical movement part, probably not both). Then, you go home and practice it until you master it. In the event you do need that 0.1% that wasn't covered in class? If you've truly mastered the fundamentals, you have the framework to adapt it on the fly, in order to overcome the unforseen. Focus on the fucking basics, folks. Advanced shooting and advanced tactical skill is nothing more than expert execution of the basic fundamentals. Quit looking for new shit to get the same result, without doing the work.
If you are preparing for potential future hostilities, beyond home- or personal-defense (i.e. if you're preparing for the possible need for future armed resistance), you need to answer two very critical questions, right the fuck now:
- Next time you're at a stop light, look at the vehicle two cars in front of you. Imagine it was a member of the regime security forces. Could you, with no warning to the driver of that vehicle, lean out your car door and put two to three rounds in the back of his head, instantly, without remorse or doubt, then drive away as if nothing untoward had happened? There is a vast chasm of difference between shooting a home-invader, during the heat of a fight in your own home, and calmly shooting someone in the back of the head, in cold-blood, with no warning.
- If you do decide you could do that, what do you think the necessary catalyst would be that would drive you to being able to justify that action to yourself?
You need to determine YOUR answers to these questions, right now, in your own heart, with no false bravado for the sake of maintaining appearances in front of your friends, before you need to know the answers.

ReplyDeleteObama's coming attack (three aircraft carriers there, with a fourth to move into position next month according to the MSM, in addition to forces from several other countries, and although DEBKA is a dubious source, 100,000 troops if they are to be believed) is a completely separate effort, aimed at the very least to win him reelection (only a few wartime presidents have not been reelected) and at worse (and more probable) to further collectivize the country. What better way to bring back the draft than to commit the country into a major war. A draft would raise the 30 million stormtroopers that would be needed to absorb the losses when the government goes to war against its people.

ReplyDeleteLet me disagree on the issue of Iranian intent and capability. As Seremzh notes, "someone" has been very busy the past few years creating a lot of friction for the Iranian nuclear program. STUXNET, to name one. That the Iranians have been one year away from producing a workable weapon for the past 5 years means nothing, except "someone" has been hard at work and relatively successful.
Second, were Iran to succeed, it seems likely that the US won't have sufficient time to do anything about it before Israel gets targeted. It won't be a question of Iran invading Israel, it will a question of how many roentgens/rads/sieverts does it take to ruin the Israeli's day. It will be over before the State Department finishes their second martini lunch.
Does this mean I support an invasion of Iran? Hell no. Nation-building is a fools errand, IMO. I regret all hardships and sacrifices made by the US military in order that the US government can posture and preen for a world that doesn't care. The only bright side I can think of is the great combat experience and professional opportunites it provides our personnel. But there isn't a square foot of Iraq or Afghanistan worth the death/casualty cost to the folks serving in our military or their families.
My preferred option is to let Iran know that whatever they attempt to do to Israel, we will insure happens to them. And anyone else who supports them within the MIRV warhead range.
Third: Yes, there is little question that this, as any crisis, can be manipulated into tightening Federal control over the US populace. That doesn't always make the crisis a false flag operation.
And as for your taking the high road regarding what you choose to call POTUS, fine and dandy. And irrelevant. I get a kick out of folks who smear the guy as much as I understand the reasons why some choose not to. Don't let the individual hide behind the office. He deserves all the bile and vitreol that comes his way for what he's tried to do to this country. He doesn't share any of your "respect and love for the Constitutional institutions of the Republic." Don't let your respect for intangible institutions turn into a suicide pact.

ReplyDeleteIran has, according to our government, been trying to acquire the bomb longer than 5 years. Back in 2005, they estimated that Iran would have the bomb in 10 years. U.S. intelligence knows very little about what is going on Iran. The Jerusalem Post (I don't have the year for this) estimated that Iran would have the bomb in 2012, or as early as 2008. In 2002, it was expected that Iran was on the march to democracy, when in fact, the opposite has occurred. Most of our intelligence concerning Iran are at best guesses.
ReplyDeleteAnyhow, bringing the non integrating gap into the core has been a dismal failure. Or has it? It certainly is not and will not bring democracy into the gaps. One would be hard-pressed to explain the purpose of the U.S. instigating the Arab Springs only to have the hardcore Muslim Brotherhood gain power. One can only assume that, like Hitler and the Third Reich, the U.S. see's the Muslim Brotherhood as beneficial to whatever ends it wishes to accomplish. How this all will be beneficial to Israels future is beyond me. It seems to me, that the U.S. is setting the stage for a future Arab-Israeli conflict.
It also seems to me, when stepping back and looking at this picture, Israel is not the Apple of Gods eye to the U.S. as it is to God. And frankly, as I see it, while the U.S. may not be responsible for an Arab invasion of Israel... the U.S. is certainly setting the stage and putting all the chess pieces together for that event. In fact, whether willingly or unwillingly, the U.S. is setting the hook in the jaw of future hostilities.
As far as Obama. Lets face the fact here. Obama, and his predecessors, have not one wit of respect for the office of the constitutional office of the president of the United States. Obama's presence in the office is an abomination to the very document that created the office. It is Obama, and his predecessors, who have sullied the office itself. He may call himself the president. Others may call him the president. But when I read the document that created the office... when I read the delegated authority of that office, I don't see a president. I see a usurper. I see a destroyer of the very document that afforded him that position. I have no more respect for the office he claims to hold than if I was a German detesting the office of Hitler.

The left in this country mostly ignored the blatant sexism of Bill Clinton while promoting "equality" with statements like the "one free grope rule". Most assuredly, the great pretender deserves ZERO respect as does the office. do you not recall bush 1 & 2, the foul clinton(s), nixon et al? WHY would you insist the presidency has any claim on respect at all? Why would you "maintain.. respect and love for the Constitutional institutions of the Republic" WHEN EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE IS ARRAYED AGAINST YOU AND YOUR BELIEFS? Why?
Certainly you are intelligent enough to see that you have been decieved by the constitution (I was too) and that wrapping yourself in it while swearing an oath of fealty to a striped cloth simply plays into the hands of those bent on your destruction.

Perhaps another way to look at the "Israel issue" is to ask yourself "what would I do if I was a Palestinian?"
ReplyDeleteWould I quietly allow Jews to violently attack my villages and take more and more of our historical farmland, for their exclusive use?
Would I quietly allow Jews to pass more and more laws restricting those of my religion and ethnicity from "public" areas, and from using the court system for redress?
Would I quietly allow Jewish "settlers" to chop down my olive trees, destroy my water cisterns and attack my vehicles?
Because this is exactly what is happening in "Israel", and I am 100% on the side of the Palestinians. I honestly cannot understand how people cannot see that Israel is conducting ethnic cleansing, and outright land theft. There is no justification for Israel's actions. None.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you on the topic of respecting the office of the President. I think the current holder of that office is an ignorant political hack, but I think he's doing what he thinks is best.
Secondly, I respectfully disagree with you on the topic of Israel. Unfortunately, just like our government, the Israeli gov is beholden to powerful groups and constituencies. Just like here at home, those groups don't always have the welfare of their country in mind. Their policy has been damaging to Palestinians and Israelis alike. Bibi is a bad dude. Please read this paper from Harvard, and if you have the inkling, the book by the same name. I've also served with Muslims, and have no ill feelings against the religion. I've worked with some very honorable people, good guys. There are crazies out there, but the guys I've served with, I'd with absolute trust, put my life in their hands.
Down to my primary reason for commenting:
Being in the military for some time, I am no stranger to gear, and LBEs. However, most of the time we had to keep things in a uniform configuration. I'd like to hear your thoughts and experience with less conventional and more optimal LBV/LBE/backpack configurations. In our conceptual operational environment, what have you found to work well. What is best not to scare the neighbors? I'll try some different configurations myself, but I'd be interested more on your more detailed thoughts.

ReplyDeleteHow can we come together as a force for our nation if we disrespect our laws & the offices of our nation? How can we come together as a force for our nation if we allow ourselves to be easily led by hearsay (AKA propaganda!) rather than finding the truth for ourselves? Always, always, ALWAYS dig for yourself. Do not take some internet keyboard ninja's word for anything. If you find a site making all sorts of claims against someone - whether that be an individual, a nation, a religion, etc - you dig for the truth & VERIFY VERIFY VERIFY for yourself. Until you do that, it's hearsay & if we take part in spreading hearsay then we are most definitely part of the problem.
Instead of liking or disliking people based upon their race or their nation, we need to judge people as individuals rather than assigning a blanket judgment to an entire group. Much like the point that was made in the post about the blanket judgements often leveled against us as gun owners.
Whether the person who holds an office is a usurper or an "anti-what-this-country-is-all-about" does not mean you tear down the office, because if you do you are part of the problem & are helping the adversary's side by giving them fuel for their fire & tools in their arsenal against you.
You cannot win without knowing, understanding, & respecting the enemy. By "respecting" I mean NEVER underestimate your enemy. The only way to make sure you don't underestimate them is by knowing the enemy & understanding what they are capable of.
We must find the truth for ourselves rather than allowing ourselves to be led by the nose by any & all propaganda that can be found at every turn on the internet. Anyone out there can claim anything they want about anyone or anything - until you verify it it's nothing more than hearsay. It often surprises me just HOW easily people buy all sorts of lies & garbage & just how easily they are led around by the handy little ring they allow to be placed in their noses.
Each of us has to find the truth & let go of this grade school "he said, she said" BS & come together on the principles this nation was founded on.... or, just keep putting on those chains.
Perhaps you'd like to have a round of herbal tea and sing a chorus of Kumbaya? When are you people going to get insanely angry at the traitors that exist in this country? I have little hope that you'll grab your mangina and do what needs to be done when the SHTF.

ReplyDeleteAnswer to question 2. Well I kicked back in the backyard and smoked a cigar over the question. It took me 35 minutes to get to a nub. You got the old hamster wheel turning. I think FOR ME (I’m in no way speaking for ANYBODY else, even my wife) the time has not come. I’m lucky and don’t have to fly for a living or to visit family. But I promise you the TSA will never touch my wife. They can juggle my nuts all day but the second they try to take my wife out of my line of site, there will be problems. I stood in front of god and her on my death day… I mean wedding day to protect her thru better or worse. But you are talking about fixing the problem and not avoiding it. I’m avoiding confrontation until they try to take away something I can’t live without. What happens next when they have mandatory checkpoints on roads? Am I going to stop driving? No. I guess I’m going to have to use “The pick your battles to win the war card”.
Texas Cigar....the scoundrel obama HAS instituted roadside checkpoints. They are known by their acronym as VIPR teams and are extremely visible in Tennessee and other states. The usurper obama has petitioned Congress to fund more VIPR teams in 2012. Our freedom and liberty is in it's death throes. The time is near.

ReplyDeleteI fully agree that starting military action against Iran at this time would be foolish, and definitely for the wrong reasons.
That being said, I've had too much experience with those who express hatred for the Jews and Israelis to be comfortable dealing with such, even if I share some otherwise common ground. I will distance myself from those I discover feel that way, and will make it plain to those I communicate with when that discovery occurs. I will not make a meal out of it, just a statement of disapproval and disconnection.
Regarding Israel....why? Because we're "friends" ? Bull. I'm tired of American blood & treasure treasure beong expended across the globe. Why are we in the 'stanweek and Iraq after 10 years ? Europe, Japan &I Korea after more than 60 years?

DeleteWhen I was in HS (1989) my best friend who was a Lebanese Muslim immigrant asked me if I would convert to Islam. I told him no. He asked me twice more and I replied negative both times. He them told me that with a clear conscience he could kill me outright and he would NOT be guilty of murder since I had denied Islam. That is the religion of peace. He wasn't serious about killing me but he was trying to explain Islam to me. That explanation stuck.

As to the _resident, Dear Reader, Chairman Maobama, He is a skid-mark on the office - the biggest collective mistake this Republic has ever made. He is also a usurper - not because he was born in Kenya but because his putative Father was not a citizen, and thus he cannot be an NBC.
Regardless, there is no connection between my contempt for HIM, and my respect for the office he's illegally occupying.
Hence - when referring to him as an individual I'll use whatever pejorative suits my fancy.
When referring to him in his usurped office, I use the term
"_resident" (which I prefer as it makes the point that he's in the SPOT but not qualified to hold the OFFICE) or "Pres__ent" (which is a great pun pointing out his most common vote in his short political career).

ReplyDeleteI understand your point, but I don't think the cause of human liberty is advanced by refusing to discuss difficult issues, and race is certainly one of them. Like it or not people don't deal with the world as completely atomic individuals. It's not practical and we're not wired that way. You yourself are loyal to your family (as your closing sentence points out) and your nation, as the blog shows, but you consider race an artificial and unimportant classification that signifies nothing.
But it's not. We can know a lot about people simply by looking at their race. We can know, for instance, with a 19 out of 20 chance of being correct that any black person you meet voted for Obama. In Portland, OR, according to statistics we can know that there is a 50% chance any black person we meet is on Food Stamps (according to govt. data as reported in the NY Times in a helpful interactive map), as opposed to 1 in 5 white people.
We can know that the Federal government has taken on itself to deliver equal outcomes to blacks in most every field of human endevour, and is willing to classify you or your company as racist if you merely fail to advance blacks at a rate equal to their numbers. We know that anti-white racism (affirmative action) is offical policy of every organization from the phone company to the US Army. You may insist that fellow patriots judge people in a color blind way, but white patriots are judged by the color of their skin every day by every organization they deal with.
We are not allowed to even discuss "hate facts" like black IQ, or black impulse control, or black crime. And so we twist ourselves into pretzels: every group failure of blacks, say the school achievement gap, is *by definition* the fault of the majority white society, who have not *yet* done enough to fix *white racism*. So, pump another hundred billion into a special programs for the special group that always needs another helping hand. Occam's Razor suggests a far simpler explanation.
So, into this status quo of enforced silence (and if you don't think it's enforced try speaking about these topics at your next diversity training day and see how long you have a job) and strong advocate for liberty and truth tells us to SHUT UP and don't discuss these topics.
The loss of liberty and freedom in our country is directly correlated with the changing demographics. Mestizos and blacks are inherently dependent groups. (And no, the fact that a small percent at the end of the bell curve do great things doesn't change that, and from a societal point of view). More and more dependent people will clamor for more and more statism, redistribution, restrictions on "hate speech" and even repression of science to bolster their situation.
Liberty did not arrise in a vacume. Despite a powerful culture that predates the west by thousands of years the Chinese did not ever have a culture of individual liberty, or republican government. Though they have managed to organize themselves in ways that they find appropriate and accomplish great things and maintain a civilzation for eons.

You can't really expect to alter the demographics of the USA and maintain the civilization that is unique to the European peoples who created and maintained it for 300 years. Any you can't help but notice that only one race is forced to assimilate endless streams of "others". Africa for Africans, Asia for the Asians. These are facts, there is no disagreement with them. No one is telling Nigeria that they must import millions of non-Africans to be more diverse. White countries are for everyone. We, alone, can not be allowed to have our own space where our own special pattern can be allowed to evolve.
In this context your anti-racist statements are in fact anti-white, in that they are supporting a status quo that is literally ending the white race's existence. If you can't bring yourself to care about that (which is a fact) then I'm not sure a lot of us will be able to care about your Constitution, which is merely an artifact of the people you refuse to acknowledge or defend.
